Pastor Isaias Figueiró was born in a Christian home in Porto Alegre, on October 17th 1958. His parents are Julio and Olita Maria Figueiró and he has three brothers. Nowadays he is married to Magda Kummell Figueiró, they have four children (Carolina, Tiago, Timóteo and Mariana) and a grandson, Felipe.
  His birth date was a very special day: his father completed one year of baptism, and he had made a covenant with God in the purpose of serving Him with his house. His mother gave birth to him at Santa Casa - a hospital that by that time had very little resources - and it was not easy, because Isaias was turned the wrong way, so his arms were obstacles to the birth. In face of this, doctors told his father that only his wife would survive, but Julio claimed to God, and He heard him: the baby was born. His father was taking a look at the dictionary when he found the name Isaias, which means "salvation of God". Some years later, due to the complicated birth, the boy had health problems, and because of them he could not practice sports at school. When he was 10, the Lord miraculously healed him through a man's ministration, who was brought to Rio Grande do Sul by God's will.
   In his youth he went through difficult moments. Satan tried to destroy him in many ways, but the Lord was keeping his life in safety and restoring him spiritually. Later, he married Magda, a girl he knew since childhood. He became an insurance broker and began to work with his father, and soon he became the company's manager. Because of his successful career, he dreamed about richness, but in 1985 God started to disturb him about the things that happened in his life: his birth, childhood, youth, family, God's teachings...
   The Holy Spirit began to bring him revelation on the Bible. At this time, he met Carlos Annacondia, and God used this man to wake up Isaias to his ministry through a prophecy. Isaias was anointed with oil in Montevideo, Uruguay, and from this day on, the flame in his heart received the fuel it needed. Carlos became a great friend of Isaias. In 1987 they spent thirty days together in a crusade in Paraguay, and Isaias increased his communion with the Holy Spirit. He began to fast and to read the Bible for many hours each day, so God spoke to him and proved his power everywhere he would go.

   Every meeting Isaias would go, God would make wonderful things. Then he began to preach in the squares in a very humble way with his brother Paulo Figueiró. In these places, many people would stop to hear the Word and were set free after the ministration.
   In 1998 he started to buy tents for the outdoors crusades and in March 1989 he used them for the first time in the first Crusade of Faith. His dedication to God and his love for the lost and ill touched brothers in Christ that, since then, began to join forces with him and formed a group to preach the Gospel. Besides the crusades, he began to preach in many cities in Brazil and abroad.
   Isaias has shown, since the beginning, he is a laborer, a man God anointed to evangelize, to set the captives free and to heal the ill. He developed grace to preach the Word of God to the youth, to families, to church leaders, he is a wise man, and all this qualifies him to be a leader. He has always emphasized men's need of remaining full of the Holy Spirit, being humble and committed to God's call. Isaias is a simple man who values friendship. 
    Nowadays, he and other ten men are the pastors of over five thousand people that congregate at Teatro Presidente in Porto Alegre. He is also the director of the Rede Mensagem radio station, and daily hosts the radio program Mensagem de Fé (Message of Faith). For ten years he has hosted a TV program with the same name. He is the coordinator for Brazil and the translator of the international evangelist Carlos Annacondia, with whom he has a close friendship. He has also coordinated the event with Luis Palau in Porto Alegre in 1994, Bonnke's crusade in 1994 and Morris Cerullo's visit to Porto Alegre in 1998, etc.
